A daily wager employee of Power Development Department (PDD) died due to an electrocution in Sopore town of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday.
According to reports the deceased identified as Mohammad Ramzan Lone, (50), son of Ali Mohammad Lone, a resident of Nowpora, Wagoora was repairing an electric wire and received a shock and fell on the ground.
However, lone was immediately rushed to Srinagar hospital where doctors declared him as brought dead.
Later on scores of the daily wagers shouting anti-departmental slogans assembled outside the PDD office in Sopore and accused the department of negligence.
