A spontaneous shutdown is being observed for the second consecutive day today in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district to mourn the killing of Tehreek ul Mujahideen militant Naseer Ahmed Teli in a brief shootout.
All shops and other business establishments remained closed while traffic is thin on roads.
Teli was killed on Thursday night shootout at Sagipora area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Authorities have closed all schools and colleges in Sopore to prevent protests against Teli’s killing.
However, authorities restored internet services in parts of Sopore last evening which was suspended soon after the killing of local militant.
