A patient who according to authorities is in serious condition awaits evacuation from Gurez area of Bandipora.
A patient namely Muhammad Yaseen of Gujraan Gurez who is suffering from acute back breakage is lying in a local sub-centre from last 48 hours. The condition of patient is critical and needs immediate evacuation, the authorities said.
“We are trying our best to save the patient but he needs to be evacuated,” reports quoting officials said.
The family, as well as the local authorities, have appealed the government to immediately evacuate the patient.
Meanwhile, the Gurez lawmaker and deputy speaker, Legislative assembly, Nazir Ahmad Gurezi while talking to Kashmir Life assured that the patient will be evacuated once the weather improves.
“The patient cannot be evacuated right now since it is snowing incessantly in the region. The road link is already disconnected. Once the weather permits, I will send a helicopter to evacuate him,” Gurezi told Kashmir Life.
Pertinently Gurez has received heavy snow during last 48 hours.
