SRINAGAR: A 45-year-old man was critically injured after being attacked by a bear in Ainoo Brai Aishmuqam area of Anantnag district in South Kashmir on Sunday.
Officials said that a bear attacked a man this morning while he was working in his paddy field, leaving him critically injured. He was immediately taken to PHC Aishmuqam, from where he was referred to GMC Anantnag for further treatment.
He has been identified as Manzoor Ahmad(45) son of Ab Ahad Mir resident of Ainoo Brai.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident.(GNS)
