SRINAGAR: A 17-year-old youth died in Srinagar on Wednesday, nearly 13 days after he was seriously injured in a fall from an apple tree during harvesting in Behibagh area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
The deceased was identified as Sameer, a resident of Behibagh.
According to reports, Sameer had fallen from an apple tree while plucking apples around 13 days ago. He suffered serious injuries in the accident and was initially taken to a hospital before being shifted to Srinagar for specialised treatment.
Despite undergoing treatment, Sameer succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday.
