SRINAGAR: A Traffic Police head constable was killed after being hit by a truck in the Qazigund area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday morning, reports said.
The accident occurred near Shampora Bridge when a truck bearing registration number JK03Q-9011 allegedly lost control and struck the traffic police officer.
The impact left the officer critically injured, but he later succumbed to his injuries at the spot, according to the reports.
The deceased was identified as Mushtaq Ahmad, a resident of Kulpora.
