SRINAGAR: A youth was found dead outside a seminary in the Ranipora area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday, officials said.
The deceased was identified as Barkat Ali Mantoo, son of Bashir Ali, a resident of Rasia.
Officials said the youth was found hanging outside the Darul Uloom.
The incident drew attention in the locality, with residents and seminary associates gathering after news of the death spread.
The circumstances surrounding the death were not immediately clear.
Police rushed to the spot and initiated legal proceedings to ascertain the facts and circumstances leading to the incident.
