A young volleyball player lost his life after he felt a sudden cardiac arrest in south Kashmir’s Islamabad district on Sunday afternoon.
The player identified as Showket Ahmed 30, a resident of Bogund village of district Kulgam in south Kashmir was playing a volleyball match against the Punjab team at Harnag area of the district.
Reports said that Showket was immediately rushed to district hospital Islamabad soon after he complained of suffocation, but as soon as he reached to the hospital he was declared as brought dead.
Showket is survived by his parents, two brothers and one sister, and had won three national volleyball Championships.
In this regard, the Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir State expressed their grief over the sudden loss.
