State Congress president Prof Saifuddin Soz called on party national President Sonia Gandhi at 10-Janpth New Delhi on Tuesday.
In a statement, a spokesperson of the party said, “He (Soz) discussed with Gandhi threadbare the political situation obtaining in the J&K State at the moment. Soz also explained details regarding Congress’s performance in all the three regions of the State.”
“While Soz explained details regarding the political situation, Gandhi reiterated her resolve that the Congress would continue to remain in the service of the people of J&K to promote their overall development, peace and progress. She also emphasized that Congress would continue to serve the people of J&K State to its best capacity and continue to fight obstructionist and divisive forces,” he added.
