SRINAGAR: Speaker of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Abdul Rahim Rather, on Monday nominated three legislators to the Panel of Chairmen for the ongoing Budget Session of the Assembly, which commenced today.
The Speaker named MLA Eidgah Mubarak Gul, MLA Samba Surjeet Singh Slathia, and MLA Bandipora Nizamuddin Bhat as members of the panel.
The Panel of Chairmen will preside over the proceedings of the House in the absence of the Speaker, ensuring the smooth conduct of legislative business during the Budget Session.
The Budget Session is a key legislative exercise, during which the government is expected to present and debate the annual financial proposals for the Union Territory.
