SRINAGAR: In light of the observance of Meraj-ul-Alam (SAW), road transport authorities in Kashmir have announced the deployment of a special bus service to ease the travel of devotees heading to Dargah Hazratbal.

An official said that besides extra deployment of buses across Kashmir, approximately 100 buses, including e-buses, have been strategically stationed across Srinagar to ensure seamless transportation for devotees

He said that the department aims to accommodate devotees from various parts of Kashmir with a special focus on facilitating their journey to Dargah Hazratbal on the occasion of Mehraj-Ul-Alam (SAW).

“In addition to special bus service, a dedicated counter has been established at Lal Chowk near Makkah Market to assist devotees with their travel arrangements to Dargah Hazratbal”, the official said.

He added that the deployment of special bus service will remain in place till Friday evening.

Meanwhile, devotees from various parts of the Kashmir were seen boarding the buses at Lal Chowk to mark their presence at Dargah Hazratbal.

On Wednesday night thousands of devotees converged at Dargah Hazratbal and prayed whole night on the occasion of Shab-e Mehraj (SAW). On the occasion, other Masjids and shrines across the Valley also reverberated with recitations of the Holy Quran—(KNO)
