Special Trains from Jammu, Udhampur to Delhi Announced by Railways

   

SRINAGAR: Indian Railways has announced multiple special trains from Jammu and Udhampur to Delhi in response to the current situation.

Train number 04612 is scheduled to depart Jammu at 10:45 am, with 12 unreserved and 12 reserved coaches. A 20-coach Vande Bharat rake is also planned to leave Udhampur at 12:45 pm via Jammu and Pathankot, connecting northern districts to the capital. Another fully reserved 22-coach LHB special train is set to depart Jammu at 7:00 pm.

Meanwhile, in Andhra Pradesh, railway and local police teams conducted checks at Nellore Railway Station following orders from the DGP and Guntakal Railway SP. Platforms, train coaches, parcel offices, and surrounding areas were inspected with support from the GRP, RPF, dog squad, and bomb detection teams.

Railway DSP Muralidhar said the inspections, involving around 100 personnel across six teams, were part of a precautionary exercise following the Pahalgam attack. Similar checks were carried out at Gudur, Kavali, Vongole, and Chirala stations, as well as nearby lodges and bus stands.
