An elderly man was injured on Thursday after he was hit by a speeding vehicle on Srinagar-Baramulla highway near Lawaypora area of Srinagar.
Media reports said that a speeding vehicle hit a man, who was trying to cross the road near Lawaypora on Srinagar-Baramulla road, resulting in injuries to the said person identified as Mohammad Ramzan.
Reports said that soon after the accident, the driver of the vehicle fled from the spot.
However, locals present at the spot rushed the injured person to a nearby hospital where he is being treated now. Meanwhile, police have taken the cognizance of the incident.
