A road traffic accident killed a Special Police Officer (SPO) early Thursday on Srinagar-Jammu Highway near Ramsoo.
Reports reaching here said that last midnight, a Tavera car hit and over ran a Special Police Officer (SPO) at a checkpoint on Srinagar-Jammu highway injuring the cop fatally.
The deceased Ishtiyaq Ahmad succumbed to his injuries on way to District Hospital Jammu at Chenani.
Ishtiyaq Ahmad, son of late Ali Mohammad, is resident of village Khowbagh Ramban.
Police have arrested the driver Touseef Ahmad of Islamabad of the offending vehicle bearing registration number JK03D-8184.
