The trail tests for coaching camps and competitions under Khelo India Scheme (Sports for all) started on Thursday in Jammu and Kashmir.

Earlier, the registrations of the trainees, players were sought by the Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council at Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar and M.A Stadium Jammu and respective district units of the Sports council on prescribed format up to December 27, 2016.

“We are trying our best to promote sports at gross root level and ensuring the maximum participation of sports persons, and enthusiastic youth,” said Molvi Imran Reza Ansari, Minister for Information Technology, Technical Education and Youth Services & Sports.

He further added, “the selection trails for different sports disciplines will choose the best talent in the State. We will continue such programs in future, so that the youth of the state reach at International level to bring laurels for the State.” said AnsariWhile talking over

While talking over phone, Secretary Sports Council Waheed Ur Rehman said, “The sole motive of the Sports Council is to promote and propagate the culture of sports among the youth and to encourage the budding sportspersons in the State and such initiatives will continue in future also.”

“The trainees and the players for the proposed camps and competitions will be selected on battery of tests which started from today, 29th of December 2016, and is being screened by the empowered committee’s of the respective districts,” said Abdul Qayoom, Chief Sports Officer Kashmir Division.
