SRINAGAR: The body of a Special Police Officer was discovered in Poonch early Tuesday morning, and officials suspect that he may have been killed in a road accident.
A police official informed GNS that the body of SPO Khaliq Hussain, who was posted at DPL Poonch and attached to the local Police Station, was found near the Kankote area of the district. “The body was found approximately 10 feet below the road, with his motorcycle nearby,” the official stated. “The body has been transported to District Hospital Poonch for medico-legal formalities.”
SHO Poonch, Deepak Pathina, confirmed the discovery of the SPO’s body and indicated that preliminary investigations point towards the accident as the cause of death. “Further investigation is currently underway,” he added. (GNS)
