In a significant development, TADA court in Srinagar on Monday issued non bailable warrants against 14 medico companies and three jailed accused. It however granted bail to the Managing Director ‘Medlay’ Rahul Kumar Singh after keeping him in judicial custody for over three hours.

Sources told local news agency, KNS that the Judge of TADA court Muzafer Iqbal Qureshi heard the case relating to spurious drugs for more than 4 hours on Monday during which Managing Director of the ‘Medley Pharmacist’ Rahul Kumar Singh appeared before him. Apart from Singh, other accused were also produced before the Judge who issued non bailble warrants to 14 companies and three other persons who are already under custody.

The sources further told KNS that the Judge however granted bail to Medlay MD Rahul Kumar Singh against a bond of Rs one lakh.

The sources added that the next hearing of the case would be on June 24. The Judge according to sources has directed IGP Kashmir to produce all the accused against whom non bailable warrant have been issued on the next hearing.
