A wreath-laying event was held at DPL Islamabad to pay homage to slain SPO Ashiq Hussain who was killed during an encounter at Nowshehra Khiram village of Srigufwara village in south Kashmir’s District Islamabad.

A spokesperson in a statement said: “Civil and Police officers led by Director General of Police Jammu and Kashmir S.P Vaid laid floral wreaths on the mortal remains and paid rich tributes to the slain SPO.
“IGP Kashmir S.P Pani IPS, DIG SKR Amit Kumar IPS, SSP Islamabad Altaf Ahmad Khan, SSP Kulgam Harmeet Singh, SP Ops Islamabad Amrit Pal, ASP Anantnag Tahir Ashraf, DySP PC Islamabad Rafee Rather and other senior officers and jawans were among others who paid floral tribute on the mortal remains,” the spokesman said.
