Srinagar Admin Issues Weather Advisory Amid Rain, Snow and Gusty Winds

   

SRINAGAR: The Srinagar administration has issued a weather advisory amid ongoing adverse conditions, forecasting intermittent light to moderate rainfall in the plains and snowfall in higher reaches, along with thunder and gusty winds reaching speeds of 40–50 kmph till late evening/night on March 30 and continuing into March 31.

As per the advisory, residents have been urged to avoid unnecessary travel and limit movement on roads unless absolutely essential.

Tourists, Shikara operators, sand miners and individuals working near Dal Lake, the Jhelum River and other water bodies have been cautioned against venturing out without carefully assessing safety conditions.

Authorities have appealed to the public to remain alert and cooperate with officials to ensure safety.

In case of emergencies, the public has been advised to contact the District Emergency Operation Centre (DEOC) Srinagar or the Police Control Room Srinagar for assistance.
