SRINAGAR: Authorities at Srinagar Airport on Wednesday dismissed reports of an alleged closure of the airport from April 6, terming such claims “baseless and unfounded.”

Airport officials clarified that flight operations will continue as scheduled, with daily operations from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and no disruption has been planned.
“There are no instructions regarding any closure of the airport. All operations will continue normally,” officials said, adding that no flight cancellations have been reported by any airline so far.
The clarification comes amid rumours circulating on social media suggesting a temporary shutdown of the airport, which had caused confusion among passengers and travel operators.
Officials urged the public to rely only on verified information and official communication channels, reiterating that the airport remains fully operational.
