SRINAGAR: The Shaheen Syndicate Social Trust distributed school bags, stationery and food items among students of Government Primary School Gadahanjipora in Mukdamyari zone of Hajin on Saturday.

The initiative aimed to support students facing a shortage of essential educational supplies, including school bags, textbooks and stationery.
The programme was attended by school staff, trust chairman Showkat Ahmad Khanyari, Mohalla president Abdul Samad Dar, Hilal Ahmad from Ganderbal, Altaf Ahmad Kawi of Islamic College Hawal, Srinagar, and social activist Shakeel ur Rasool from Hajin, Bandipora.
Addressing the gathering, Khanyari said the trust had funded the initiative from its own resources to ensure that children had the necessary materials to pursue their education.
He said access to education also required the availability of basic learning materials, adding that children without adequate supplies faced difficulties in their studies.
Local residents and community members appreciated the trust’s efforts to provide educational kits to students, according to the press release issued by the organisation.
