SRINAGAR: Two militants killed in a gunfight with the counter-insurgent forces at Soura area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district were affiliated with the Lashkar-i-Toiba outfit, an official said.

An official said that both the slain militants were identified as Shakir Ahmed Waza and Afreen Aftab Malik, both residents of Trenz village of Shopian district.

He said that incriminating materials including arms and ammunition were recovered from their possession.

Earlier, police said two militants were killed in an encounter at Soura area of Srinagar.
