SRINAGAR: The Director of the National Health Mission on Monday inaugurated the ‘Centre for Breast & Colorectal Cancers & Non-Cancer Disorders’ at Karan Nagar.
The centre is headed by Dr Shabnam Bashir. The centre comprises allied clinics in addition to its focus on colorectal cancer and non-cancer disorders.
The primary objective of the centre is to cater to all breast and colorectal cancers and related issues, along with non-cancer disorders affecting these systems.
The centre aims for gradual upgradation, ensuring that patients suffering from these cancers receive comprehensive treatment under one roof. This initiative seeks to prevent patients from having to travel outside Kashmir for specialised care or leaving their medical concerns unaddressed. (KNO)
