SRINAGAR: The Srinagar-Jammu highway was blocked on Thursday due to landslides in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir.
An official said that a heavy landslide blocked the highway near Mehar area, blocking the movement of vehicles on the strategic highway that connects Kashmir with the rest of the world.
He said that men and machinery have been pressed into service to restore the movement of traffic on the highway.
