The Srinagar-Jammu highway was re-opened after it was closed for more than six hours following a fresh Snowfall and rain.

“One-way traffic has been restored on the highway,” an official said. The traffic was allowed to ply from Jammu to Srinagar and no traffic will be allowed to ply from opposite side.

Border Roads Organization cleared the debris at Digdol belt in Ramsoo tehsil, where landslides had occurred. The men and machines of (BRO) were pressed into service to clear the landslides, reports informed.

Many vehicles were stranded on both sides of the Jawahar Tunnel.
