SRINAGAR: The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was reopened on Sunday after remaining closed for few hours due to landslides triggered by rains.

The highway was closed for vehicular movement due to landslides and shooting stones at Magerkote Ramban.

An official informed that vehicular traffic has been restored on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, which was affected at Ramban.

He said adequate men and machinery have been deployed to clear the fresh landslides.

However he said, commuters are advised not to travel on the highway without confirming the status of road from TCU Jammu/ Ramban and Srinagar.
