SRINAGAR: Traffic department authorities on Sunday said that on Monday subject to fair weather and better road conditions light motor vehicles (passenger) shall be allowed from both sides on the highway. No Bus or Mini Bus will be allowed from either side.

The traffic department in an advisory said TCU Jammu, Srinagar shall liaise with TCU Ramban before releasing the traffic.

It also said that commuters are advised not to travel on Jammu-Srinagar NHW without confirming the status of the road from TCU Jammu/Ramban/Srinagar.

The traffic department in an advisory said LMVs will have to cross Nagrota (Jammu) from 07: 00 hrs to 12:00 hrs, Jakheni (Udhampur) from 0800 hrs to 1300 hrs and from Navyug Tunnel (Qazigund) 0900 hrs to 1300 hrs.

“No Vehicle shall be allowed after cut off timing,” it said.

“Heavy motor vehicles shall be allowed from Jakheni (Udhampur) towards Srinagar after the tail of up LMVs crosses Jakheni,” it added.

“TCU Udhampur shall liaise with TCU Ramban before releasing the HMVs,” it said.

“Government Forces are advised/requested not to ply against advisory/traffic plan in view of traffic congestion on Jammu-Srinagar highway. They may ply from Jammu towards Srinagar after confirming the status of highway,” it reads.

Mughal Road closed for vehicular movement in view of snow accumulation at Peer Ki Gali by the order of Dy Commissioner Shopian.

Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri Road closed for vehicular movement in view of snow accumulation on Zoji la axis by the order of DIVCOM Ladakh.

No traffic movement shall be allowed on Kishtwar-Sinthan Road in view of snow accumulation.

People have been advised not to travel on the highway without confirming the status of the road from phone numbers Jammu (0191-2459048, 9419147732), Srinagar (0194-2450022, 2485396,18001807091), Ramban (9419993745) and Udhampur (8491928625), PCR Kishtwar  (9906154100) for status of Sinthan Road.
