SRINAGAR: Traffic department authorities on Friday said that subject to fair weather and better road condition, only stranded vehicles between Udhampur and Banihal shall be allowed towards Srinagar.
According to the advisory of the traffic department, security forces are advised and requested not to ply against advisory and traffic plan in view of traffic congestion on Jammu-Srinagar NHW. They may ply from Srinagar towards Jammu.
“On 15-01-2021 Friday, there shall be no traffic movement on Jammu-Srinagar NHW from either side in view of maintenance/repairing of the NHW,” it said.
Mughal road is blocked due to snow accumulation.
It said that Srinagar-Leh highway is closed by the J&K Government vide Divisional Commissioner Kashmir’s order No. 400/2020 dated 30-12-2020 till further orders.
People have been advised not to travel on the highway without confirming the status of the road from phone numbers Jammu (0191-2459048, 9419147732), Srinagar (0194-2450022, 2485396,18001807091), Ramban (9419993745) and Udhampur(8491928625).
