SRINAGAR

Terming the latest crackdown on separatist leadership and activists as “accepting defeat by Modi-Mufti before time”, senior Hurriyat (g) leader and Jammu Kashmir Nation Front chairperson, Nayeem Ahmad Khan Sunday said, “India and pro-India people will face final rout on November 7 when millions of people will march on roads to reach Srinagar.”

He appealed people to make “Million March a success so that anti-Muslim forces like RSS get a befitting reply that people of the disputed territory want complete freedom from India”.

A party statement said that Khan visited Baramulla, Tangmarg, Pattan, Singhpora, Kunzar, Narbal and directed his party workers to “lead people from the front”.

“Many senior citizens in this regard assured Nayeem Ahmad Khan to lead the youth,” the statement said adding, “Nayeem Ahmad Khan directed party workers not to take into considerations the arresting of leaders and activists including National Front activists like Riyaz Ahmad of Tangmarg, Tariq Ahmad (Raja) and Altaf Ahmad of Singhpora but actively remain busy in preparations of Million march.”

He condemned the latest arrest spree in the valley.

“I appeal to people of all walks of life to follow the Hurriyat Conference program in letter and spirit and reach Srinagar, so that world knows that we don’t recognise Indian sovereignty on Jammu Kashmir and challenge its military occupation,” Khan said.

Paying tributes to slain Abu Qasim, Afaqullah and Abdul Manan, Khan said, “sacrifices of the martyrs demand for our steadfastness so people should strictly adhere to the mission of the martyrs.” “The best way of paying homage to martyrs is to think and act collectively.”

“7th November is a day when the whole world will come to know about our collective demand,” Khan said adding, “so start preparations now and be ready to reply the occupiers in a disciplined and democratic way.”
