Hurriyat patriarch, Syed Ali Geelani was detained by police when he tried to take out the proposed ‘Srinagar Million March’.

Hurriyat Conference (g) chairperson Syed Ali Geelani tried to move out of his residence to take out ‘Srinagar Million march’ but was detained by police.

Hurriyat sources said that Geelani tried to move out of his residence Saturday around 1 PM, however, “police detained him and he has been lodged in Humhama police station”.

Geelani is under house detention for over four months.

Reports reaching from uptown Hyderpora said that protests were held near Jamia Masjid following which police swung in to action and detained Tehreek-i-Hurriyat leader, Bashir Qureshi along with others.
