Police in a swift action arrested two burglars and recovered golden ornaments worth over 15 lakhs and cash 11000 within eight hours of the commission of crime.
“Fida Hussain Magloo son of Mohammad Abdullah Magloo resident of Madeen Shaib Lalbazar reported to Police Station Lalbazar about the burglary of golden ornaments and cash worth Lakhs in his residential during Broad Day light,” SSP Srinagar Ashiq Bukhari told media persons.
Giving details he said that acting on the information gathered, a Police team was rushed to the spot under the command of SHO police Station concerned. “The scene of crime was preserved. Inspection of the scene of crime lead to some clues which led to the arrest of a lady,” he added.
The SSP said that a woman was arrested in the case. “On her confession, gold ornaments worth 15,27381 aprox and cash worth 11000 were recovered,” he said, adding, “During further investigation, another accused involved in the commission of crime was also arrested.”
