Srinagar Police Crack Burglary Case, Three Arrested, Stolen Cash Recovered

   

SRINAGAR: Srinagar Police on Wednesday solved a burglary case by arresting three accused persons involved in the commission of the crime.

A police spokesperson, in a statement issued here to news agency JKNS, said:

“On 02/02/2025, Police Station Nishat received information that during the intervening night of 1-2/02/2025, some unknown thief/thieves broke the donation box of a Mosque/Shrine at Syed Rahman Chowk Nishat and took away some cash.”

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 07/2025 under relevant sections of law was registered at PS Nishat, and an investigation was initiated, the statement reads.

During the course of the investigation, officers acted promptly, using intelligence input and technical evidence, and arrested the accused persons. They have been identified as, Aamir Rafiq, son of Rafiq Ahmad Sheikh @Dobhi, resident of Buchwara Dalgate; Mohd Sufyan Bage, son of Mohd Rafiq Bage, resident of Bage Mohalla Uri Baramulla, A/P Gulab Mohalla Dalgate and Danish Bashir Khan, son of Late Bashir Ahmad Khan, resident of Buchwara Dalgate, A/P Sumo Stand Khunmoh

The vehicle (Swift car) bearing registration number JK04A-5786, used in the commission of the crime, has also been seized.

Upon the disclosure of the accused persons, stolen cash has also been recovered from their possession, the statement reads. (JKNS)
