Srinagar police Sunday launched a 24×7 helpline for public to check social crimes and for redressal of problems and grievances of the public in the city. According to SSP Srinagar Mr Amit Kumar the measure will bring in transparency and accountability in the functioning of the District Police.
According to police spokesman, in order to redress the problems of the general public and check social crimes like drug peddling, eve teasing, burglaries etc in the city, SSP Srinagar launched grievance cell at District Police Lines, Srinagar that will be accessible to the public 24×7. A dedicated team of officers have been placed in the grievances cell for prompt response to the public grievances.
Spokesman further adds that the general public is requested to register their problems and grievances on the following helpline numbers :0194-2477567, 9596222550, 9596222551, 4286 ( through Police EPBX 24811628-32)
