Srinagar: Srinagar Police has recovered an unidentified male body, age about 38-40 years near Zaba Khana Makhdom Sahab area of Rainawari, said police spokesperson.
The body was later taken to hospital for autopsy and other medico legal formalities.
“Proceeding under section 174 CrPC has been initiated. After completion of all necessary legal formalities including Covid test & Post Mortem, the body has been kept in mortuary at GMC Srinagar,” reads a police statement.
The police has requested the general people in helping to identify the body. If anybody identifies him, they have been asked to inform Police Station Rainawari on 9596770661, 9596770876, PCR Srinagar on 9596222550, 9596222551 or Police Control Room Kashmir on 112.
