SRINAGAR: Of a total of 152 projects outlined under the Srinagar Smart City Limited (SSCL), 98 have been completed to date. Among these, seven projects remain ready for inauguration, said the CEO of SSCL and former commissioner of Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), Athar Aamir Khan.

Expressing gratitude for the successful execution of the majority of planned work on the ground, Khan said, “Since 2020, we have completed approximately 98 projects. Seven projects are ready for inauguration but haven’t been inaugurated yet.”

Elaborating on the Smart City initiative, he added, “We have numerous projects, and utilizing savings, we have included 20 to 30 more projects, such as Goni Khan Market Project, Jamia Masjid Project, Jehangir Chowk Project, and others.”

“Out of the total 152 projects, 93 are completed, while seven projects await inauguration. Additionally, several ongoing projects, including those in downtown areas like Pathar Masjid, Dalgate-Gojwara road, and Karan Nagar-Darish Kadal stretch,” the Commissioner stated.

Highlighting ongoing developments, he added, “We are actively working on the riverfront view in downtown Srinagar, with significant progress in Batmaloo, Qamarwari Road, and other areas. I anticipate that these projects will be completed by June,” he concluded. (KNO)
