Srinagar’s Rs 7.44-Crore Hostel for Ex-Servicemen’s Wards Nears Completion

   

SRINAGAR: Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, on Tuesday inspected the under-construction hostel for the wards of ex-servicemen and martyrs at Peerbagh to assess work quality and project progress.

During the visit, he was accompanied by Chief Planning Officer Fayaz Ahmad Dar, District Social Welfare Officer Mukhtar Ahmad, Tehsildar Chanpora Kifayat Hussain, R and B Executive Engineer Khalid Mehmood, the Zila Sainik Welfare Officer and other officials.

Officials briefed the Deputy Commissioner that the civil works of the project—being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 7.44 crore are in their final phase.

Labroo directed the executing agency to expedite the remaining interior works and ensure timely completion of the facility.

The upcoming G+2 hostel will comprise 25 rooms with a capacity of 100 beds, aimed at accommodating the wards of ex-servicemen and martyrs.
