Casual labours of Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA) Baramulla/Babgavh range on Wednesday held a protest at Press colony in Srinagar against the government for removing the CAMPA employees from SRO 520.

Scores of the employees from various areas assembled at press colony and registered their protest. The employees were demanding the government to add them in SRO 520, as according to them they were part of it earlier but now have been removed by the state government.

“We were never told that we all will be removed from the SRO 520, but few days before the government has ordered to not include us in SRO 520, i think it is a sheer injustice with all the CAMPA employees of Jammu and Kashmir,” Wahid Ahmed, one of the protesting employees from Ganderbal said.

The employees said that they are around 7500, employees working in the department since 2009, “We request the government no to snatch our rights and add us on SRO 520, said another protesting employee.
