In the wake of floods in Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation (JKSRTC) management on Saturday has canceled all leaves of officers, officials sanctioned and ordered them to report back to their duty.

“In view of flood situation arising due to continuous rain in the valley, the JKSRTC Management has canceled all leaves of officers/officials sanctioned and ordered them to report back to their duty,” said a statement issued by the government.

According to a government order the department has provided 30 trucks to District Administration Srinagar for their deployment to different locations to meet exigency.” Twenty trucks have been kept standby in District Islamabad at the disposal of District Administration Islamabad for meeting any eventuality.”

The order further said that JKSRTC has also established a control Room at M A Road JKSRTC HQ Srinagar under the supervision of Farhat Jan, General Manager (Operations), Kashmir who can be reached at cell number 9419011594. “JKSRTC is ready to provide all sort of assistance for rescue operation if required,” it said.
