SRINAGAR: The Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI) which carried out two sets of raids during its investigations in the SSB paper leak case, has arrested three accused including a Government teacher, and a police constable for interrogation. A Jammu newspaper has reported that the trio were instrumental in selling the papers.

The trio have been identified as Raman Sharma son of Chuni Lal, a resident of village Nore in Maira Mandrian area of Khour, posted as Selection Grade Constable (SgCt) in Jammu and Kashmir Police, Suresh Sharma son of Ram Lal Sharma, a resident of Kaink Jageer in Akhnoor, a tout and Jagdish Sharma son of Dhani Ram, a resident of Masyal Narayana in Khour, a Government teacher.

They have already been produced before the designated court and the CBI has got a 10-day remand for investigations.

Reports said the trio had sold the newspapers to the beneficiaries. The investigation will now lead to the people who provided them the question papers.

The federal investigator, it may be recalled here, has registered a formal case on the request of the Jammu and Kashmir administration on August 3, against 33 accused. The Police Sub Inspector examination were conducted on March 7 and the results were declared on June 4, 2022.
