The departmental action of removal/disengagement has been implemented as the delinquent personnel ignored multiple signals, attendance notices, and show-cause notices urging them to resume duties.

The notices were not only served directly but were also published in newspapers. The individuals displayed no interest in continuing their service within the department. Furthermore, the enquiry officers, following investigations under rules, had suggested their removal or termination.

The suspended selection-grade Constable, Joginder Singh, has been removed from service under Article 128 of J&K CSR. He has been consistently absent without authorization for the past ten months and continues to remain absent. During his unauthorized absence, Singh was also involved in FIR No. 340/2023 under sections 307, 323, 452, 504, 506 IPC, 3/35/27 Arms Act at PS Kathua.

As for SPO Bachan Lal, he has been disengaged based on the recommendation of the enquiry officer due to his habitual absenteeism. Lal remained absent for six months during the year 2023 and is still absent. (KS)
