SRINAGAR: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday informed the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly that applications for issuance of ST-II certificates under the Pahari Ethnic Group category in Uri constituency are being processed in accordance with the prescribed rules and eligibility criteria.
Replying to a Calling Attention Motion moved by Uri MLA Dr Sajjad Shafi over alleged delays and wrongful rejection of ST-II certificate applications, Omar, who also holds the Revenue portfolio, said all applications received under the category were being processed as per the applicable statutory provisions and government guidelines.
