SRINAGAR: Bharatiya Janata Party’s general secretary for Jammu and Kashmir Ashok Koul on Monday said statehood will be restored when a common Kashmiri will move freely without any fear.

Taking to media persons here at Bandipora, the senior BJP leader as per news agency KNO, said that once the situation in Jammu and Kashmir will improve and the selective killings will come to an end beside a common Kashmiri will move freely here,  the statehood would be restored.

“Our Prime Minister and Home Minister have also assured that the statehood will be restored in J&K while BJP party is also in support of the demand,” he said.

Asked about the delimitation process, before March, he said that the commission will submit its report soon under which the 90 seats will be distributed in JK after which polls will be held.

About civilians killing, he said that in selective killing, the BJP leaders are being killed here, while the non-Muslims are also on target. “We are against it as no religion allows to do the same.”
