Awami Ittehad Party chief and independent MLA Er Rasheed Friday reacted to Mehbooba Mufti’s remarks that accession of 1947 was not with a party but with every Indian.
Rasheed asked Mehbooba Mufti to stop insulting Kashmiris and reminded her that the instrument of accession was conditional and people of J&K are least bothered who rules India and with whom she forms govt, a statement issued by the party read.
He said, “If she believes that there is no difference between BJP, RSS and others then why did she and her father sought votes to stop BJP’s entry into Kashmir. The Mufti dynasty has been criticizing Sheikh Abdullah all these years and now praising Sheikh Abdullah to justify her alliance with BJP is silly and amounts to exploiting the people of the state by changing colors as per requirement to be in power. Kashmiris want plebiscite and nothing less, Mehbooba should stop acting as mouth piece of New Delhi.”
Rasheed ridiculed Mehbooba’s statement over what is happening in Syria, Egypt, Pakistan and elsewhere in Muslim world.
He said. “Who doesn’t know, who is pushing Muslim world to take up arms and everybody knows that Indian agencies are also leaving no stone unturned to force Indian Muslims to radicalisation. Doesn’t Mehbooba know who forced Kashmiris to take up gun in their hands? Mehbooba should know that it were not people of Iraq, Egypt, Libya or Afghanistan who raised the revolt against their popular government but was all engineered by the West and its allies.”
MLA Langate said that every country, region and religion has passed through the phase what Muslim world is facing today and like others the Islamic world will come out of the situation and Mehbooba is too small to give sermons to Muslim world by speaking Sang Parivar’s language.
“Doesn’t Mehbooba know that India is facing not only revolt, insurgency and armed movements in every state but there are thousands and thousands of militants roaming free in Naxal hit and North-East States,” he said.
“Hindu sponsored terrorism and caste politics has brought India to the verge of disintegration. What Raj Thakray and others are doing in Maharatra and elsewhere, should make Mehbooba to realise that there are already states within the state in India.” He said and asked Mehbooba to introspect and behave with some sense of responsibility.
