Jama'at-e-Islami J&K pioneering leadership

Reacting to the statement of CM Mehbooba Mufti on the issue of use of the pulpits by the Islamic scholars and leaders, Jama’at-i-Islami Friday asked Mehbooba Mufti to give up commenting on such which are beyond her domain and competence.

In a statement issued here, Jam’at said, “She believes in secularism which is quite contradictory to the basic teachings of Islam as such she should desist from interfering in the religious affairs which the scholars of Islam can deal with very fairly. The scholars of Islam have very much capacity to advise the Muslim community what is fruitful and what is harmful for them and they need no advice or admonition from any secular leader.”

The spokesperson of Jama’at said that the pulpits are there to address all the issues concerning the Ummah by the competent and sincere preachers and propagators of Islam. “Jama’at-i-Islami advices Mehbooba Mufti not to interfere into such delicate religious affairs for pleasing the coalition partners who know very well the Macauvalian method of use and throw game and have applied it here a number of times. It is rather better to learn a lesson from the history of such deceitful partnerships.”
