Refuting the allegations levelled by Panthers Party that government has failed to protect the life and property of people along LoC, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Monday said that it is not the job of State Government to stop shelling and firing along LoC as it is the baby of the Central Government which has to take a final call in this regard.

Shortly after speaking on Obituary reference in Legislative Assembly, Omar Abdullah said that one of the members (Balwant Singh Mankotia) tried to give an impression that government has neglected the people affected due to Pakistan shelling along Line of Control. He said it is not in their hands to stop shelling but it is the responsibility of the government to help victims. “My government has shown no negligence on this part and it has been helping victims without any delay,” he said adding that government is ready to answer the queries of opposition members on Tuesday.
