SRINAGAR: At least 15 people were injured in a stray dog attack in central Kashmir’s old Budgam town on Monday morning, creating panic among locals.
Eyewitnesses said that the dogs appeared suddenly and went on a rampage, attacking multiple individuals in the old town.
All the injured were immediately taken to Budgam District Hospital for medical treatment. However, one person, who sustained critical injuries, was referred to SMHS Hospital in Srinagar for advanced care.
A medical professional at the Budgam hospital confirmed that one severely injured individual had been transferred to Srinagar.
Following the incident, locals called for immediate measures to address the growing issue of stray dogs in the district. [KNT]
