The Srinagar city on Tuesday plunged into darkness for over two hours following the strong winds and heavy rains that uprooted trees in Charar-i-Sharief area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district and hailstorms in Shopian and Baramulla districts
The strong windstorm uprooted several trees near Kralpora on Chadoora-Srinagar road area resulting in a massive traffic snarl in the area. The changed weather, however, brought relief from hot and dry condition that prevailed in the day. But the respite was only momentary.
Reports also said that Locals cleared the fallen trees to pave way for traffic movement on the road.
