Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Wednesday said that late Sheikh Tariq was “a great warrior”.
Recalling the struggle and sacrifices of Sheikh Tariq, a JKLF statement said, “martyr was a great warrior, leader and national hero of Kashmiris.”
On the death anniversary of Sheikh Tariq, a condolence meeting was held at his residence Chanapora, the statement said.
“He laid down his life for freedom of his nation and never compromised in the way of struggle and resistance,” the statement said.
Terming Sheikh Tariq as “one of the best Kashmir ever had”, the statement said, “his struggle, braveness, wisdom and resilience’s were his trademark. Tariq was a keen follower of Islam; his passion for an independent Jammu Kashmir was unparalleled. And he will be remembered for all these qualities.”
Meanwhile, JKLF supreme leader Aman ullah Khan is unwell and has been admitted in a hospital from last night.
“Doctors have diagnosed him with pneumonia and intestinal infection and are treating him for the same,” the statement added.
