Asif Ahmad Bhat, a 25-year-old student allegedly committed suicide in South Kashmir’s Islamabad district.
According to police, Asif ended his life by consuming poisonous substance at his home in Khushrai Kalan in Srigufwara, 45 km from Srinagar.
Bhat was rushed to district hospital where he breathed his last, the spokesman said, adding, the motive behind his taking such an extreme step was not known.
