Student drowns to death in Doda, schools closed

A minor boy drowned on Tuesday while crossing a stream in Bhaleesa area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district.

According to reports, the deceased student was identified as Raja Owais, 16, a 9^th class students from Amritpura-Chilli Pingal area was on way to the school to appear in an examination when he slipped while crossing Chinyass Nullah.

Soon after the incident was reported, the district in Doda ordered the closure of all schools and deferred all the exams.
